Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Beginners Class – students get involved in a group activity and learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a safe and positive environment. Class introduces the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a focus on life skills, personal development, self-defense and safety training. Students participate in basic exercising drills to improve timing, balance, coordination, self-confidence and fitness. Practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques focuses mainly on repetitions of sequences of Jiu-Jitsu techniques. The techniques are taught singly at first and then built into a practice sequence that encourages a natural flow of technical options. Students will develop skills and confidence after just a few classes.
Kids Program – children get involved in a group activity and get an introduction to the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu martial arts. Class emphasizes on learning how to follow directions and developing motor skills in a supportive and playfull environment. The use of exercise drills and play equipment builds balance and coordination. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an excellent outlet for energetic kids, and a safe and practical system of self-defense. Students get exposure to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and respectful interaction with peers and instructors.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Intermediate and Advanced Class – Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a fascinating and sophisticated martial art. Experienced martial artists will be amazed at how fast the techniques can be learned and how quickly they will develop practical skills. Students review and acquire a deeper level of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu martial arts knowledge and learn a variety of sophisticated techniques, techniques combinations, submission set-ups and advanced combat training and sparring skills.
Submission Grappling and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) – Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is considered by many to be the ultimate grappling and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) art; its practitioners have received worldwide acclaim for their success in mixed martial arts competition. Now the fastest-growing martial art in the world, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu owes it’s popularity to its practicality. Learn the fundamental skills of MMA striking (punches, kicks, elbow and knee strikes, defense, clinching, counter attacks and footwork), the fundamentals of wrestling (takedowns, pins, mat control, takedown defense, and escapes), and the world-renown, practical, devastatingly effective submission techniques (chokes, armlocks, shoulder locks, knee-bars, ankle-locks, heel hooks, and neck cranks) of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The class is taught in a safe environment. All levels are welcome. Great exercise, self-defense skills, an opportunity for those who would like to compete!
